Renaissance Glass AustinFull-service glass company acquires long-time Austin staple

Shortly after Dallas-based Glasshouse made another home in Austin, they have become much larger. Glasshouse has acquired Renaissance Glass, an Austin glass company with over 40 years of experience and Central Texas’ largest selection of stained glass. This came about after Renaissance Glass Owner Rodney Smith decided it was time to retire.

“I‘m really glad that I can tell my customers that we’re leaving them in the trusted hands of a company that shares the same philosophies,” retiring owner Rodney Smith says. When asked about the acquisition, Glasshouse president Tim King said, “We are very excited. The phenomenal reputation of Renaissance is what makes this such a great deal for us. It’s a great fit, both ways.”

Mr. King was mostly excited about Renaissance Glass’ expertise. “They have a great history of restoration experience. They are the Art Glass presence that we need in Austin.” As the company is growing quickly in Austin, Glasshouse is looking to upgrade buildings soon and gain retail business as well. This acquisition is truly a major step towards Glasshouse becoming a household name.

The Glasshouse Austin location’s address is located at: 8637 Mountain Crest Dr. Austin, TX 78735. For more information, call 512-649-8152 and visit glasshouseproducts.com for news and updates.
