    Wonderful Things Made From Glass

    By coders | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 18 March, 2014 | 6

Have you ever thought of how many different products are made from glass?

We couldn’t list them all – they’re too many, and too varied. If you just look around yourself right now, you’ll probably see any number of things that are made of glass. Depending on what room you’re in, you could be looking at a drinking glass, or the glass in a picture frame, or possibly a light bulb. Of course, you’re reading this on your computer, and if it’s an older model, your screen could be made from glass. The shelves in your refrigerator are probably made from glass, and of course, there’s glass in the door of your stove so that you can peer and see what you’re cooking.

Almost certainly, your house contains decorative products that are made from glass – perhaps your grandmother’s crystal, or some Depression glass. Maybe you have a collection of glass snow-globes, or blown glass figurines.

When you leave your house and go to your car, your windows and your mirrors are made from glass. There’s glass in the streetlights, glass in store windows, and glass in the eyeglasses of the people you meet and talk to.

So many wonderful products are made from glass. Imagine what life would be like without mirrors? At the very least, you’d have trouble getting yourself presentable for work in the morning! And imagine churches and cathedrals without their beautiful stained glass windows – they just wouldn’t be quite the same, would they?

Isn’t a backyard patio that much nicer with a sliding glass door? And so much modern furniture incorporates glass into the design.

We could go on and on, but you get the idea. Try to picture your world without products made from glass. It’s difficult to imagine, isn’t it?
